Reviews of Jewellery Quarter Academy
"The parents didn't sign an agreement to let the kids stay till 4:10, they are forcing kids on a Tuesday to take extracurriculars and parents are just forced to comply or they will have to find another school for their child. That tells you what you need to know, don't send your child to this school they will make changes that affects your child without your consent."
"I have had the pleasure of working at the Jewellery Quarter Academy over the last two weeks. I visit many schools but I can honestly say this school is different to any I have visited. The staff seem to be aligned really well and all show enthusiasm and motivation to help the pupils develop academicly and socially. I also watched the Year 11 football team after one of my days in the school and they showed great sportsmanship whilst expressing their talent. The pupils also seem to really enjoy the school environment and behaved impeccably for myself and the team I worked with. Thanks to Miss Murray, Mrs Ivy and Mr Morton especially for a great welcome."
"Both of my children have been to this school and had no problems personally. However a few days ago, in the reception I witness a student swearing at a teacher and when asked what there parents would think they said they won’t care. It seems to me that lack of DISCIPLINE and RESPECT are the issues at this school. Parents, it’s NOT the schools responsibility to teach your children MANNERS and DISCIPLINE. If most of you parents commenting on too many detentions saw how disgustingly and disrespectfully your children behaved to other adults when your not around you would be disgusted yourself. The consequences of poor behaviour at school may be detention and exclusion, but parents if you don’t bring your children up properly with respect the consequences when they are UNRULY adults will be prison and suffering!"
"Unprofessional staff,I DO NOT recommend this school, your child is not safe. The staff are unprofessional uneducated and Rude When raised concerns they were ignored my child has been neglected the reviews on this page are 100% true. Speak to your child they to probably suffering in silence. I request to the parents please be more involved in your child life. I have always just dropped my child off outside school thinking my child is doing well but then notice a difference in my child I'm talking from experience please DO NOT make the same mistake. I'M RAISING AWARENESS!"
"I would never recommend this school to anyone unless you hate your kids and don't care about their future. The reception is very unresponsive, they DON'T answer the phone. They give detentions for the smallest and useless reasons, they expect kids to be 100% perfect. Teachers don't know how to control the class room, when a kid complains about something, the teachers don't do anything about it. I have so many things to say but NO TIME, this school requires BIG time improvement ( this will NOT happen by giving detentions). this school don't deserve any positive rating."
