"Music and DJs are some of the best in York. Been in 4 times, never had a problem with the bouncers as other reviews here have. It is very much a student club, anyone who doesn't fit the 18-25 demographic will probably have a hard time fitting into the crowd and getting past the bouncers. Entry fee for students is £6. They charge £3.50 for a single shot vodka with mixer, and do 6 sours for £5. It's not really as expensive as other reviews make it out, but there are definitely cheaper places in York. *They always hit max capacity by around 11:45pm.* As is also done by bouncers in Flares; when full, the bouncers inside will look for anyone standing around, not dancing, or that they just don't like the look of to kick out for being "too drunk" in order to let people still waiting in."
"As everyone said, bouncers are awful. They will kick you out for no reason and leave you outside with no way of contacting the people you are with. It makes you feel completely unsafe. Would not recommend"
"Any club in York is better than this. As everyone else here has said the bouncers are absolutely awful and have kicked out friends of mine for taking too long in the bathroom. Queue times are usually over an hour since they take so long to get people inside"
