"This school has traumatised me for life. I was told from many people that this was the best comprehensive school in Birmingham (yeah that's probably right if you're white) but that was a lie. As a person of colour I and many people I know experienced racism here from the white students and staff. I can't even pinpoint who was more racist if I'm honest. I used to love learning but this school made me hate it because the teachers don't like you if you're not white so they'll spend most of their time putting down poc instead of finding ways to engage them during lessons. Please do not send your child to this school if they're a person of colour. If you do, they will have a lot of trauma."
"My grandson went this school would not recommend the head there is trying to get rid of all children who suffer with ADHD and other problems .the head of school should be took out as he is a bully and most kids there hate him I'm not surprised"
"It was okay, and the teachers were pretty good, but as the headteachers changed almost every year, everything was disorganized and, at times, chaotic. It felt as if new rules were enforced every other week in an attempt to make the school look good for visitors, and not do any real good. The sets in KS3 and 4 English were even changed from 1-6 to 1X,1Z,2X,2Z,3X and 3Z for no explained or evident reason, and only one bathroom (the smallest one) is actually open to students most weeks. On top of this, I understand the modern aspect and possible practicality of an open plan school, but even in the winter we have to stay outside, and are shouted at if we even stay in the hallways, let alone the classroom. As an ex-student, my review may seem biased, but this is the truth of the school, I'm sorry to say. Hopefully in the future this will change."
"Amazing and caring teachers and a wide range of fun and educative activities to be done around the school. It is an opportunity to make the greatest friends you could ever ask for... I highly recommend for your child to come here."
"Today, with my business Immersive Theatres, I delivered a 7m digital planetarium experience to the 230 Year 8 students of The Arthur Terry School. I received enthusiastic assistance from the site team as soon as I arrived, making offloading and setup a real pleasure. Vanessa, Frankie and their colleagues were very supportive during all six sessions. The students were quiet and attentive during the performances, with the bespoke STEM session resulting in numerous good questions. Thank you The Arthur Terry School for a very pleasant visit."
