Reviews of The Turton Pavilion
"Had a great visit to the lake today with a friend, we fed the birds & ducks then watched the ladies swimming in the lake, how brave they were with a temperature of 5c in the water, brrrr We then walked all the way round the lake but in parts it was extremely muddy so be aware & wear boots. We then called at the cafe for a coffee which is nicely decorated & you can grab a piece of cake. I can imagine the summer months it will be very busy & there isn't a lot of parking spaces but it was fine today."
"Great club with very welcoming and friendly staff. The pitch is excellent and kept in first class condition. Many football teams from little kids to adults, girls teams and mixed boy/girls. Parking is excellent, toilets at venue and great for disability users. 5* recommend to all.."
"Nice and clean place to swim and rest. A lot of benches, so you can safely arrange a picnic or little barbecue."
"Quality Paddle Board & Kayak lake, Free but limited parking. Parking restrictions on Single Yellow Line 1st MAY to 30th Septemeber Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays"
"Lovely fresh large lake which you can walk all the way around if you can brave the mud. Stunning scenery in the summer, very muddy / marshy grounds in parts over autumn and winter. We were all sinking in the mud for a good while but was all fun and added to our family adventure. It didn't bother us but I think the council/parish should attend to a few loose parts of the footpath to make it safer for people and more relaxing. In need of some TLC to make this happen and this could be 5stars with a really good circuit walk - it took us 1.45 hours but we had family time as we walked with 3 young children so could be done much quicker if your on your own or if its not slippy. Most people are put off by the mud no more than 5 mins into the walk so turn back disappointed."
