Happy Valley Nature Reserve
About the Business
Welcome to Happy Valley Nature Reserve, located in the heart of Bramhall, Stockport, United Kingdom. Our 42-acre parkland has been designated as a Site of Biological Importance and is a perfect destination for families, nature enthusiasts, and tourists alike.
The reserve is home to an array of wildlife, from rare birds to bat colonies and even kingfishers. Our visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery and the natural habitat teeming with flora and fauna. With a variety of walking trails, including an accessible trail for wheelchair users, visitors can take in the stunning views of the reserve at their own pace.
For those interested in history, the Happy Valley Nature Reserve has a rich and fascinating past. The valley was originally part of a medieval deer park and later became a popular spot for Victorian picnickers. During World War II, it was used for army cadet training, and later became a campsite for post-war holidaymakers.
We take pride in our conservation efforts and offer visitors the opportunity to get involved in conservation work, such as hedge laying, pond maintenance, and tree planting. Our reserve also features a wildlife garden and an educational center dedicated to promoting environmental awareness.
The Happy Valley Nature Reserve is open all year round, and admission is free. Our facilities include a kiosk offering refreshments, toilets, and picnic areas. We encourage visitors to come and experience the beauty of nature in the heart of Bramhall.

Reviews
"Nice area for walking the dog. Quiet and well kept. Nice to have a walk up along the river."
"Well worth finding, for a scenic walk along the river. However be warned it can be very muddy and not all the track is paved, however if you enjoy a stroll, have suitable footwear paths head off in the direction of Poynton, walk into Bramhall centre or combine with a stroll around Bramhall Park."
"A beautiful place but unfortunately there is now only one link between both banks as the council have removed the stepping stones which have been a popular place to cross."
"So beautiful and friendly a must for dogs and children to play in the river"
"This is a beautiful peaceful place to walk through.."
