Aksu Food Centre

"I brought a vape approximately 2 hours ago and it was faulty ( not working properly) the vape was very temperamental and 2 hours after buying the vape I went back to the Aksu shop. I explained that the vape was faulty and if it’s possible to change it for another vape. The worker refused . The worker asked his colleague to test my vape to see if it’s working . The colleague had wrapped some tissue around my vape and tried my vape. I had then asked to change my vape as his worker put his lips on my vape . The worker asked me to choose another vape and then brought out the card machine in order for me to purchase a new one when in fact he should have refunded me the money or exchanged item as it is faulty goods .I was within my rights to exchange the item. I had explained to the worker that I’d like another vape as his worker has now touched and used his mouth on my vape ( with some tissue) however he refused to exchange the vape.the worker that handled my vape did not wash or sanitise his hands and even though he used tissue my vape can now be contaminated bearing in mind covid is still here. I had asked for contact details as this is really bad customer service and extremely unprofessional , I had asked the worker where I could find the contact details for customer services and the worker responded in a rude manner and suggested that I should “ask your solicitor” I was very offended by this as me and my family have been good customers for many years ."

"Whilst staying close by in Edmonton, my daughter and I came upon this place by accident. Simply wonderful. So much produce in one place. The biscuit and soft drink selection deserves 10 stars but 5 is all I'm allowed to give. The man behind the counter believed I was from the local council when I unwittingly unearthed an out of date packet of Beef Tranform-a-snacks, but may I assure him that I was just a hungry traveller from Cornwall, lost in a shop with an amount of choice anyone from the west of the Tamar can only marvel at. Aksu Food Centre is the jewel in Edmonton's crown. I will miss you."

"I love this place. My second home. When I moved into the area 7 years ago, this was the only shop that was open late to buy food asi was newton the area. Its bloody brilliant. I get all my shopping done here. Friendly staff always willing to help. I still shop here."

"I love this shop and buy all our fruit and veg there as they have such a good quality selection at an excellent price. Also quite often pick up things like meat, Turkish yogurt, halloumi etc. It is also a fantastic place to shop for all the store cupboard essentials such as huge tins of olive oil, bags of rice, bulgur wheat, etc. The prices are great and the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. A very convenient location next to Edmonton Green station and they are deservedly always very busy."

"Deserves a half a star rating at best. Staff are rude and useless. Tries to charge 50 p for card transaction so i had to correct him but he wasnt having it. Took my custom elsewhere. Shop is also filthy and doubt has had a good clean since it was opened."
