"Pomona has dropped off a cliff over the past 12 months. Customer service and the quality of some of the goods, and selection, has dropped considerably. I used to shop there for 15 years. The owner is rude and insulting, unless you're buying a lot of food. The new tall young guy looks miserable in his work (If a polite and nice guy). They let 3-4 staff go, all women, over the pandemic. All male operation now. How about instead of insulting long term customers that don't buy as much due to cost of living crisis, try treating everyone extra nice, offer loyalty deals (Like the health food shop up the road), and create of a positive community atmosphere? They used to play music in the shop - that is long gone. That said, I hope they survive for the good people that work there, and for the locals. But attitude-wise, and regarding customer appreciation, the owner seems to be taking out his frustrations on long term customers that don't spend much right now, or who didn't shop during the pandemic, and how can't afford their prices due to cost of living crisis. I'm done. I'll be going to Earth in Kentish Town from now on. More selection, and everyone treated the same. Pomona should take note."
"Walking distance from me. Excellent products and wonderful produce. I go here all the time - for the last 14 years. And they have the friendliest staff in the area; excellent recommenders too."
"Gluten free, paleo, vegan, keto. They have it all. Lovely, fresh, high quality produce. Wine, olive oil, Jude’s ice cream and lollies. Great tortilla chips even called Totopos, just like in Mexico! This place is WELL CURATED. Small but mighty and loaded with what you are looking for as well as things to discover. And you can get a good massage next door."
"Exactly what every high street needs. Small range of trusted goods from high-quality producers, covering everything from oils and dairy, to chocolate, grains and even some organic wines. As I said, it’s a limited stock and cannot compete with a supermarket in terms of sheer variety, but you always know that what you’re getting is quality. The guy who runs the shop is always around: he’s friendly, and is in contact with all the suppliers. He only sources the responsible stuff! I would say that the fresh fruit and veg can sometimes be charged at very steep prices (£4.99 for a small mango, for example; there are cheaper organic fruit and veg operators in the area), but I am sure that there is a very good reason for it. It’s always better where possible to support local businesses."
"Great shop. They have really fresh fruits and vegetables and despite the size of the shop, it is very well stocked with all the basics, but also some special products. What I like most: it doesn't take me much time to shop here, since I don't have to compare across too many options and the cashiers are very friendly and will pack your bags."
