"A broken shop barrier was broken, but you still open the shop ,I nearly fell over it,a member of staff ,was standing near door watching it ,didn't say anything, next customer, same thing happened,it was late in the day, next time ,I will phone health and safety about you and your staff"
"Terrible experience every time shopping at this branch. Staff are more concerned with fulfilling what looks like deliveroo type orders and totally ignore customers waiting in the queue. Product availability is also very poor here"
"Well laid out and no cramped feeling like some other small local convenient stores. I had never been in this shop before but when I asked one of the staff where two items were they walked me to tk he exact location. Well done Sainsbury!"
"Visited this afternoon, Monday 22 July! I am disabled and use a stick to help with my balance following a fractured spine injury, I also suffer from other considerable health problems relating to heart issues. Nevertheless I try to be as independent as I can including walking to the Sainsbury's local to purchase shopping! Today my visit was distressing! The checkout staff, a young man, barely acknowledge my presence save to be curt and impatient about my attempts to use contactless payment, as I believe is advised as the least contaminating way to pay. The young man answered none of my questions, was surly and extremely unfriendly. I asked to speak to the manager, due to his behaviour and poor service. He gestured over to the manager, as if a common occurrence. The manager immediately walked towards me and I began to explain my complaint whereupon a young female employee started a conversation with the manager without any reference to me whatsoever! No excuse me or apology and as a result I felt demeaned insulted and not valued as a customer! I suggested to the manager that better staff training to instruct the staff in customer service particularly with vulnerable customers. He assured me he would but overall I had the impression that I was just a nuisance or even a joke. Sainsbury's has disappointed me greatly today. On previous occasions I have found the staff to be competent, sometimes excellent. Sadly after today I wish my health was such that I never had to return to my Sainsbury's local. I am very very disappointed and upset by my experience. It is now June 2021 and I have to inform you that the service towards me as a disabled person has for a while now been exemplary! They are kind and patient and have made my shopping experience a lot less fraught! Congratulations to the staff and whoever implemented the wonderful changes towards us disabled folk! Everyday life is tough enough so it's nice to meet some tolerance!"
"The only good thing about this store is that is closer to our house than the other Sainsbury’s in Wilton Road. Price for most of stuff is higher than there either. The list of stuff is very limited. I can hardly think of a time when I managed to get everything I was looking for here. I realised it is a small store, but the Tesco in Monck Street does it better than that! No complaints about the personnel, the store is well maintained and looked after"
