"The service on Saturday morning from a young, half chinese looking woman, with big glasses and a broad face was beyond weird. I spoke to her in a cheerful and smiling way. As I had with the lovely lady on the fish counter, who'd been incredibly helpful and pleasant. However my good cheer met with a stony morose face that descended into a scowl. It's like I was her big enemy, even though I'd never met her. I put some items where we stood but she told me to go to the other till, so I lugged them there. When I explained I wanted to exchange some items I'd bought. She told me I had paid 20 minutes ago, and the cut off period for returns was 30 minutes. I explained I'd been at the fish counter getting help, and whilst I'm no Einstein I'm quite sure 20"
"Very poorly stocked store with so many empty shelves and completely empty freezers it looks like the end of a closing down sale. It’s a great place if you just want to have a wander around and socialise but if you actually want to buy anything it’s a waste of time coming here and you’ll probably leave disappointed. I asked a member of staff how long the shelves are likely to be empty for and she seemed offended by the question. She said sarcastically“until we get a delivery”. Not helpful. Considering Waitrose is one of the most expensive, high end supermarkets, I expect more."
"Quite a good supermarket with all the things you would ever need to survive. It has a scan machine, which is very helpful compared to other stores like tescos, which do not have this system. Overall, I think it is the best supermarket in Mill Hill because of how it has a car park."
"The selection and availability of products is quite good, and the delivery staff are usually very polite and friendly (shout out to Cavern), but some of the staff who work in-store are quite rude. You'd expect better of the company training."
"Good staff around but don’t like the fact they throw away what they can’t sell at the end of the day. I went yesterday and saw hundreds of fruits and I asked a staff member what they do with the reduced products that don’t sell, and was told it’s thrown away. I mean, what’s the point gathering food donations from customers, if you are throwing away perfectly good food at the end of the day? I even saw them throwing perfectly good fresh bread into black bin bags."
