"All staff except one who works on the cigarette/lottery counter called Elaine are very friendly polite and respectful. Always try to only get served there Monday to wednesday and Sunday"
"Once the group’s largest and flagship store (but that was in the 70s), now quite an old store. Plenty of ranges stocked and the same prices as any other branches plus the advantage of free parking for up to 60 minutes, just rather tired as a store. Often not a staffed till available so you have to use self service or SmartShop app so not great at those times if you have a trolley load of items"
"Awful management! The female manager treated me like a thief. I’ve been purchasing roasted pistachios from Sainsbury's for years, no complaints, I believe my Nectar card can testify for that. One particular batch was really bad, half of the pack was a waste. Took it back to the store with the receipt, the manager was ridiculous! She kept shaking others pistachios bags as well as mixed nuts bags close to her ears. Totally lack of people skills!"
"This is probably the smallest supermarket in London. Due to the size of the store, the selection is significantly limited, but almost all basic foods can be found here. But you have to be careful about what you pay for and how much you pay. Several times I was charged a higher amount than the price indicated on the product, or I was charged the wrong amount, or I was charged a fee for a bag even though I had my own."
"Being visit this store for long time, not the best selection but always get what I pay for. Yet I don’t feel safe to visit the store anymore. I was verbally assaulted by a staff serving at the self-check out till. It was a lovely Sunday with sunny spell. I did some shopping in sainsburys to prepare the busy week. I get everything I need and access to the self-checkout till. There were no plastic bags at the entrance. After I placed everything on the weight I realise I need a plastic bag to take all my shopping away. Then I saw at the exit side of the self checkout till there were plenty of plastic bag. Where the sainsburys staff were standing at. All I ask for is a favor, so I said the exact wording here: “excuse me, would you pass me a plastic bag?” And the staff, took the plastic bag and yell at me, three times: “say PLEASE, say PLEASE, say PLEASE.” I was frozen, and I said “please.” I wasn’t expect that assault. I have the worst experience I ever had in sainsburys, as well as in the UK. As a new migrant, I tried my best to fit in to the environment, If I did something wrong, people could advice me, but not in that way. There actually a hint of racism to me, I hope that’s just my feeling."
