"Lovely little find for my ten month old. We stopped off in West Kirby for a walk around the marine lake, not realising the tide would be in, making the walk impossible. All the pavements along the front were also closed due to road works, so we found ourselves with nothing to do on a chilly February morning. A quick Google of soft play brought up Calf and Cub which was a 5 minute walk away. My little boy absolutely loved it and mummy enjoyed the coffee and cake. A little gem for little ones. Wish there was something similar where we live as we would be regulars!"

"Honestly cannot recommend this place enough. I could elaborate on all the ways this place has been a safe haven for me and my sanity as a mum of two 2 and under and how the staff have helped me since they opened but I’d probably be told there isn’t enough space. Lovely venue, good food for all, great coffee and love going to groups in the other room too. A lovely supportive space for parents."

"My little girl has loved this place since it opened, she’s just turned 4. Every time we drive past she says ‘can we go to Cub & Calf’ Mummy. She particularly loves the toilets and wants to go independently as they are so easy to use for little ones. The staff are alway friendly and chatty and the quality of food and drinks is consistent. The play area always keeps her amused for over an hour. She loves playing with the extra bits too like dolls and books. Thank you everyone at Cub & Calf! X"

"Amazing cafe, perfect size and great soft play for the little ones. Such a welcomed alternative to this big, loud, overwhelming soft plays on Wirral. The staff are so lovely, clearly adore the children and provide a great service. Coffee is spot on and the cakes are delicious! Always such a lovely vibe ❤️"

"Lovely place, nice and clean. My two year old loved the food and the play area. Staff seemed friendly and welcoming. Until, half an hour into our stay, a reserved sign was placed on our table and I was told we needed to leave in 50 minutes, which would have made our stay less than an hour and a half. I did speak to them, and they, begrudgingly, removed the sign, but by then all I wanted was to leave and never return again."
