"Tool Station on the Blackhorse road is second to none at what they do, as anyone in the trade, or them that do it themselves could tell you. What they also do is employ the kind of people you want to find on the other side of the counter, particularly when you need advice on what to use to do that thing you want to do when you haven't got a clue. Every time I've been the staff have been friendly and helpful, and when I need something they're my first choice. Then again, ScrewFix are pretty good; same format, warehouse sized shop, a counter, staff who know what they sell and mostly always helpful with it. Which is just as well, particularly if you're the kind of half-wit who didn't know you can't use imperial olives on metric pipe..."
