"Plenty to see and do! Stroll around the extensive gardens, get lost in the maze, play areas for children and not forgetting the house to explore. Lovely rooms in the house, very well maintained with friendly staff situated in many rooms. Would recommend visiting on a weekday if you can as it does get quite busy on a weekend with some queues to go into the first few rooms. Interesting displays and so much detail has been put in so don't miss that!"
"Fabulous afternoon spent wandering around the grounds and the Tudor Manor House. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff sharing their insights enthusiastically in every room. We thoroughly enjoyed listening and talking to the lovely gentleman playing the lute in the Great Hall. The food in the restaurant, although a little pricey, was delicious and served really quickly. Also a fantastic spot to watch the airplanes taking off from the airport runway nearby. Lots of play areas and walking trails for the younger children and lots of great photo opportunities. Highly recommended."
"We really enjoyed our visit to the house and gardens. There is a great play area and a fun maze that we got lost in! The facilities are great. The cafe provides all kinds of foods and drink but can be very busy at peak times. We took the scenic walk towards the beach and stopped to look at the planes taking off nearby. Plenty of parking and easy to access. The house was interesting and plenty of staff around to talk to. We waited to get into the house but not for too long. Overall a great day out for all the family and would highly recommend."
"Beautiful grounds right next to the airport and the river. A good place for a short or medium walk. Very busy at the weekend. There is a maze and lovely kitchen garden. Great to spend time in the grounds and looking around Speke Hall itself is a bonus. Friendly guides in each room that engaged with the visiting children. The cafe is busy and the cream scones are home made and delicious. All in all a great day out"
"Excellent day out. The hall is very interesting and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Very pleasant grounds to stroll around and good ice cream! If there's a queue at the ice cream outlet near the entrance try the other one round the corner from the little cafe near the house. We went on the Tudor weekend and staff dressed medieval and did a dance in the garden. There was a medieval fair on the day we went too. Highly recommend."
