"Worst delivery service, driver was very rude and I asked him politely if he could help me in unloading some goods, ignorant as he is he just stood there while I had to unload, it was only a couple of meters into my door. I know BD has a kerb side delivery only but others builder merchants are a lot more helpful, woun’t be buying from them ever again"
"The prices might seem reasonable but what turns up isn’t worth the hassle and the customer service is shocking. Ordered over £700 worth of MDF, then what turn’t up looked like they had driven over it before sending it out. They first offered me 15% off, which was ridiculous, I wasn’t after a refund and if that was supposed to be a compensation it certainly didn’t reflect the amount of material was unusable. They then agreed to collect and replace the damaged sheets, but a courier turn’t up to collect the damaged ones without any replacements. After half an hour waiting to get through to them they told me that they “do not offer replacement” when they had clearly stated in an email that they would collect the damaged goods and deliver new ones. After a prompt of what they could do from here they offered a full refund of the damaged sheets but I would then have to pay again for the delivery. Absolute waste of my time, avoid them at all cost"
"Awful customer serice and in breach of the consumer rights act. Failed to accept a good they provided was faulty, then lied about a part that should have been with the item. Had to speak to the manufacturer of the product directly who confirmed that the item was never sold seperately. Manufacturer ended up supplying me with the product that should have been supplied by BuilderDepot. Safe to say I won't ever purchase from them again."
"The manager at this branch could do with a lesson in customer service. I went in to visit one of the showrooms on my day off only to have it be closed during the weekday. Instead of take the time to offer any kind of useful advice or help, he simply said “there’s nothing I can do” and walked off. I then came back and managed to visit the showroom but felt compelled to tell the manager that he should at least have staff covering if the person in charge of the showroom is off. He said he would love to hire another person but they can’t (even though they have new starters on the shop floor), and he then said “there are other places you can go to.” Apparently he is related to the owner of Builder’s Depot so he gets a free pass at being rude to customers with no consequences. The helpful floor staff and the gentleman who works in the flooring showroom who I eventually saw were a delight to deal with and I’d give them 5 stars for their politeness and patience helping me out. It’s just a shame their manager has dragged my overall rating down because he lacks the ability to speak to customers properly."
"A quite useful place well stocked. The staff is knowledgeable but need to be slightly more helpfull. all vehicles are checke before they leave so you must time budget for that as well."
