"It was my first visit to the Hippodrome in about 10 years. This venue is simply stunning. We had seats in Row A of the stalls, and the seats were very comfortable with plenty of legroom. There was a disturbance about an hour into the show, but the staff dealt with it very quickly and professionally, and I think the majority of people didn't even notice. Again, I was disappointed that the box office was unable to provide a print of my tickets, but it didn't ruin my fantastic experience."
"The Bristol Hippodrome is a historic Frank Matcham designed theatre. It is the largest theatre in the South West getting all the large touring shows particularly musicals. It's architectural features are shared with the London Coliseum. The stage is wide and excellent for ballet. The seating can be slightly uncomfortable as the seats are thinly padded. The toilet facilities are antiquated and barely adequate for the size of theatre. Ladies and gentlemen expect queues for the facilities. The sight lines are mostly good due to the lack of pillars. The grand circle is up very high. There are no lifts and are not suitable if you don't like heights or can't climb narrow high steps. Be prepared for you bag to be zealously searched before you go in. You are banned from bringing your own alcohol into the building. Soft drinks and water are allowed. The ushers are young and enthusiastic. Don't get caught trying to take pictures during a show. You will be caught! Bring you own water or soft drinks and chocolates as prices are eye wateringly expensive."
"A classic. We've seen a number of shows in the Bristol Hippodrome. It's really nice to have a good theatre close by. The seats are tight but it's been well cared for and always clean. In our experience the best seats on the house are near the front in the upper circle. A little more space and you can see the whole stage."
"Amazing! Beautiful theatre, amazing hospitality team that were super helpful. An abundance of boosters for smaller children. Lots of points for drink ordering and snacks, and enough toilets! Overall fantastic venue - would definitely recommend. The photo depicts the view from stall seat L6."
"Beautiful theatre. We sat in the stalls (F33/34) and the view was amazing, but looking around it seemed that you would get a great view no matter where you sat. The toilets were easily accessible and clean. The only downside was getting into the venue was like herding sheep. Once you had your bag and ticket checked you were put into a queue depending on where you were sat. We had to stand for some time queuing on the stairs which was uncomfortable as I have mobility issues. Prices for food and drinks were what you come to expect from Theatres; expensive. The show itself was phenomenal and I would definitely recommend a visit to watch it."
