Reviews of Rubery Late Night Pharmacy
"Terrible place. Month after month with my prescription re order, they give me some at a time. It takes me a week of repeatedly going in to get the full amount. Same each month. They blame suppliers, tonight they blamed me for the wrong drug name (it is correct), the other day another lady said they don’t get much call for it. All not my problem. Very keen to take your money but not keen to dispense and the staff are very curt as others have said."
"Not sure what the negative reviews are about, probably perpetual moaners. The pharmacy gave me a rough price over the phone for my private prescription, and after popping it in I got it back within 10 minutes. The staff were polite and courteous and will use them more often in the future."
"I am completely disappointed and disgusted with this pharmacy. Rude and unhelpful staff. Problem after Problem. Been called a liar by staff. Never have prescription ready or things missing. I have been 4 days and counting without tablets now. I'll likely have to go A&E soon without my medication. Awful awful service do not use."
"They are kind and helpful, and I never have to wait long for my medication. This is the best pharmacy in Rubery."
"Today the pharmacist in charge saw fit to humiliate me in front his employees and other customers, as well as banning me from the pharmacy. Why? As others have noted, this pharmacy sometimes get prescriptions wrong. Some months ago they didn't get my repeat prescription because they got the wrong surgery. I have an auto-immune illness and need my medication. I was frustrated, but got on with it. Recently, this happened again. I was told that the person who had ordered it hadn't written it down and to come back the next day. I did. I was told by one lady that she had definitely picked up my prescription and it was all ready. But then it could not be found. There was bickering in the back about what had happened and if it had been written in some book. I was told to return the net day. By now I was very frustrated as it meant I would again have to buy my medication as by this point I did desperately need it. I decided that I would make a complaint as the system used by the pharmacy wasn't working. I asked the pharmacist for details of whoever I needed to complain to. Tonight I returned. Now suddenly the pharmacist decided the whole debacle was my fault. His reasoning? That the medication went to my main pharmacy in Frankley. I tried, repeatedly, to explain that though this was true, at the time, the repeat prescription was a paper copy ordered via the internet and collected from the surgery. I would then take that prescription to any pharmacy and collect the medication as normal. I tried saying this over and over but he just kept shouting at me, 'well why didn't you order online!! Why didn't you order online!! The surgery is live now! It's live! You should have called the surgery!!" I kept trying to explain that with the system at the time, that wasn't how it worked. With the paper copy it still goes to whichever pharmacy I went and ordered it from. There was no need to call my surgery as I had already picked up the prescription sheet from them.My proof was that some of the medication did indeed end up with them. However, he simply would not listen. He acted as if I had been unreasonable about wanting to complain, when, in fact, I had been very calm. He proceeded to tell me to go elsewhere in the future, despite the fact that I never abused anyone in the pharmacy, never was going to blame specific people and I had never, ever treated anyone the way he treated me tonight. I was shouted down in front of other customers. I never, even when deeply angry before, shouted at them. I never shouted at them in front of their customers. Even if this was my fault, then why was I told otherwise on the multiple occasions I was at the shop? Why was I told b y him and his staff, that they had made the error? Why had the same thing happened so many times, including months beforehand? It seems to me that the owner is an egotistical bully. I have never been treated that way in all my life. I didn't deserve it and the whole thing is a disgrace."
