"If I could give this place less than one star I would. I had a gel mani (£36, thank god I didn’t leave a tip) last Saturday ahead of a business trip this week. Gel manis always last me 3 weeks. Three days later two nails chip half way up, the following day another chips. I email to complain and to get a refund, no response, I call and get a confused and unhelpful man saying ‘no refunds’. They also use that dreadful DC polish which is cheap and nasty. I will never be going back and I advise everyone else to choose elsewhere to spend your hard earned money. Prior to visiting the Covent Garden location I went to the battersea one and the technician was rude and his cuticle work was very painful. Both times when I was in the salon women came in to have their nails redone so that should have been enough of a warning sign for me, don’t make the same mistake I did!"

"amy and jaya at eighty-8 nails covent garden are amazing!!! my friend and i were shopping around in covent garden in desperate need of manicures and they were able to squeeze us in! three of my acrylics had fallen off and amy was able to put new ones on those nails and fill the rest (and did not charge me for fixing the broken ones)!! amy was meticulous and paid very close attention to detail and my nails came out amazing. jaya’s gel manicure on my friend came out great even though her nails had been cut short from her last manicure. 10000/10 would recommend and go back. the salon was gorgeous and very aesthetic and trendy."

"received the absolute best gel manicure i’ve ever had here - thank you so much Lam!! truly exceptional attention to detail and made sure everything was perfect before i left. Lam expertly fixed my broken nail using powder at no extra cost. the salon is super clean and beautifully decorated, and well ventilated so the fumes from the products aren’t noticeable. excellent value for money especially given the location."

"Best place I've ever had my nails done, I highly recommend it. I arrived at the salon without an appointment almost crying because my nails were horrible because of another salon and Vanessa the nicest and polite woman helped me and took care of my nails like no one else, she checked every detail so that everything was perfect on my nails and always asked my opinion if you liked it if you wanted it shorter etc , great manicure, showed me what dip power was I had never tried and I was in love. Vanessa helped me a lot and made my nails look amazing. I recommend it and I will definitely go there to do the maintenance."
