"I have used their service twice, I was happy with my acrylic extension last time but didn't feel very welcomed in the place. Also they take cash, so had to go and withdraw after reaching there. Second time I got french manicure and within 4 days the paint started coming off. Very rude staff, wouldn't communicate enough to make right decision on nails. Hope they gets this message act little friendly."

"I made a booking via Treatwell for full acrylic extensions with shellac. I wanted a clear acrylic extension with a nail design as shown below (picture 1). My nails were finished by 7pm, when the store was closing, but I already knew I wasn’t happy with my nails. I was charged an extra £5 at the salon for the “nail art”, which was very messy and not how I wanted it to be. The black tip was very bulky on the sides, it was done very messily with not much care put into it, as you can see. By the time I got home, 2 of my nails had already been chipped as the shellac had too many layers applied and was still sticky when leaving the salon. I also had a cut on my cuticle from where the lady removed them and was bleeding. I went back to the salon next dayto request a refund, but was told that this will not be issued. The lady who done my nails the previous day was very rude and she kept raising her voice at me. I was feeling very anxious and I could feel all the other customers were watching. Since I was not offered a refund, I asked if it would be possible to redo the design - I was told she will only fix the 2 nails that had chipped, although the design on the other nails was uneven and not how I wanted it to be. I said that in this case, I’d like her to take off the whole design and just do a normal shellac colour instead; she agreed to this and I asked for a simple pink colour. This was all during my lunch hour, so I didn’t have a long time. I left the salon with another botched shellac and and it’s really not up to standard!! I have see-throughs, it’s very uneven, and also bumpy. I asked if I could have my £5 returned as I paid it for the nail art, which wasn’t done properly, but I got a load of excuses - the lady said at first that she never charged me for the length of my nails the precious day, so she should have charged me extra anyway, but this wasn’t mentioned the day before. She then tried to give me a £10 discount voucher for treatwell, which expired February 2019... She ended up returning me the £5 only in the end as the code was expired. I was really unhappy and unsatisfied, but since I had to go back to work I just said it was ok and left, knowing I will be contacting your team when I’m back at the office. I’m very unhappy with the fact I have a cut on my finger, as I don’t even know if the tools were disinfected properly, and the shellac job is so botched that I will have to visit another salon and pay again to get this fixed, as I will never be visiting Five Star Nails again. I’ve been getting my acrylics done for over 7 years, with shellac ever since it became a trend, and I’ve never had such a bad experience before. I’m appalled, and as a customer paying for a service I believe I am 100% entitled to a refund if I am not happy with the service I had received. If the request is refused, please let the salon know I will be leaving reviews on their websites and social media, as well a treatwell. I also work for a fashion and beauty publication and I will not restrain from informing my clients of the horrible service I received. The refusal of refund and claiming responsibility for the unprofessional service I had received wasn’t nowhere near as frustrating as the way I was spoken to (or shouted at) and the feeling of intimidation. I was refused a refund in the end. 4 days later 2 nails have popped off. If you want good quality nails, please do not go here. My work colleague also had an issue with this salon and was refused refund. Clearly they are more interested in money than customer service..."
