"I was visiting Sheffield with a close friend as we was visiting a few events in Sheffield, once we got to the hotel the staff was lovely and welcoming. We got checked in and booked into our hotel room quite quickly. We looked into the history of the buildings as it was an old army base/gaurd House for the army. Lovely building and architectures throughout the hotel and surrounding buildings. The staff was very friendly and apologied to us about the breakfast being cut short due to an event they had. They offered a free drinks at the bar for the inconvenience. We had a lovely stay, amazing views and breath taking place. Credits to the staff and management of the hotel. Kind regards, Aaron"
"We had just a one night stay, but it was perfect for what we wanted, room was clean, cosy and warm, slept really well, we had a twin room breakfast included, what a bargain for a Thursday night, a lovely bar very nice breakfast, would definitely stay again."
"Rooms are spacious and have everything you might need except a fridge. The rooms could do with a bit of updating and could be a tad cleaner, but they have nice touches like the fast charger on the night stand. Parking is extremely limited, I was lucky to get the last space. The food was nice and food and drinks are very reasonably priced. The best thing about my stay was that the staff were very helpful in both the bar and hotel."
"Decent breakfast. Staff extremely helpful from start to finish. Linen and towels fresh. Room reasonably clean but some mould on shower head, around soap dispensers and on silicone in places which could easily be addressed. Bed comfortable but with the lights shining in above the curtains from outside, getting a good night's sleep was difficult."
"I like staying in hotels that are quirky and historic and this has both. The site was once a walled barracks so is very well built. The rooms were of a good size and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The only downside was the toilet seat was small, must have been designed for children. Definitely worth another visit"
