Reviews of Millies Tea Rooms, Chocolatier and Bed & Breakfast
"Rukiya and Beverley both provided amazing service. The minute we stepped foot, we felt very welcomed. They both took the time to explain the menu and ensured we were served in a timely manner despite it being a very busy Sunday afternoon and ordering as a large group of 6. As a Muslim, finding a halal place was important to us, everything meat based was halal! The food was very fresh and delicious. We were also served tasty hot drinks (e.g. Masala drink) - just what we needed after a long cold weekend hike. My favourite dessert was the cheese based scones with cream and chilli jam. Very accessible from the main hiking trails. I will definitely be coming back."
"Great service, attention to detail and a warm welcome. A welcome pit stop on a walking/driving adventure and well worth it. Delicious breakfast and a friendly welcome. 5* from us."
"They do the most finger licking delicious hand baked goods, and chocolates in UK! The owner Rukia is always helpful and goes above and beyond for all her customers! This place is such a treasure!"
"Lovely little place, stopped off for a cuppa and some chocolates on our way through. Very friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the surrounding area, good prices and lovely produce. we will be back"
"I was really looking forward to visiting this tea room for ages and finally got the opportunity today. I arrived and sat down. After about 5 minutes the menu was bought and I was told they don't serve jot food after 3. I got there at 3.30 so was not happy that I'd driven for 2 hours just to have a hot chocolate!! I hadn't even packed lunch as I thought I would be having lunch there. Their service was so slow that by the time I did get my drink, it was too late for me to go anywhere else to get something to eat as most cafes close at 5. The hot chocolate was not hot so instead of being able to savour it, i had to gulp it down before it got cold. Also couldn't taste any chocolate, just the milk so didn't even enjoy that. On the plus side, they were friendly and provided a very nice place to pray. Also the brownie was very nice and gooey. Maybe if I had known and had got there before 3, my experience may have been totally different."
