Reviews of University Health Service
"Called them on the phone and was told that in order to register i would need to come in person and hand over my ID and proof of address. Came in person to do that only to be told that i needed to register online…thanks."
"the actual building is well-kept and the GPs (in my experience) have been helpful, including the wonderful triage nurses that are so patient and kind. the issues are slow service, often poor attitude from reception (at least on the phone) and the fact that the UHS is closed during the weekend, the only time when students would be entirely free to go if their week is busy. don't let this put you off from using the UHS, as it is a service, but just keep in mind that it is slow and you might be met with a less-than-friendly attitude."
"Best GP I've ever had, I've called on the day first thing and immediately got appointments twice that way - it's such a relief after London GPs. Thank you guys, you're amazing!"
"The service here is incredible, I cannot seem to understand how anyone is giving it a low rating. Due to frequent health issues, I have had to call quite a lot of times over the past 2 years, book many appointments and spoken to/seen many nurses and doctors at the practice. The reception staff are always so quick, lovely, helpful, and always make sure to get me in as soon as they can, and I never have to wait long at all to get at an appointment or to speak to a receptionist, unlike my doctors at home. The doctors and nurses have all been incredibly helpful and useful, always giving lots of advice, have always successfully seen and treated me, while always being very kind and making me feel heard and cared for. In addition, I am not sure how much it is linked to the university health service but the ability to access 1-2-1 in person CBT therapy through the university has been so incredible and I am overall so grateful for this practice!"
"You thing the health services at LMIC bad?Try access the UHS health service where the appointment can only book by phone which they will only answer after 20 minutes ringing. Walk in service not allowed they said by phone and my 2nd vaccine already scheduled for 2 weeks later because it's fully booked blablabla. If you need emergency choose other health services. This is worse than booking health services at LMIC countries. NHS and UHS need to review their SOP."
