"I have had quite an interesting experience with the Salon. I booked myself in for a silk press+trim after I discovered the salon on my way home and got excited to have a black hair salon in my area. The stylist was lovely. I felt that she cared for the health of my hair and gave me very useful advise. After washing my hair out after the silk press I discovered that my hair had changed. I am natural and went from having 4C/4B hair to almost 3B/3C. I also had straight strands throughout my hair which could only be heat damage. I was ofc not really happy with that. Once I had discovered this, I called the salon to tell them of what had happened. Initially they did not handled the matter in a professional manner however, after speaking to the owner, she immediately took matters into her own hands, called me to find out what happened and booked me in for a consultation and complimentary treatment. I truly appreciated that as I felt valued. I can see that my hair has improved after the treatment. It is not 100% back and my curls are still loose compared to what they used to be. I do however not have as many straight strands anymore. I am all for supporting black businesses and initially got disappointed with how it was handled in the beginning when I first reported it considering that I had a great experience on my first visit. Mica Nicole's hair salon truly redeemed themselves for me and I would definitely recommend to friends and family. It also made me more comfortable to revisit them again after seeing the care Mica gave in order to restore my hair back to what it was."
