"I had my hair cut and blowdryed by Brooke, she is amazing did exactly what I asked for. I'm so pleased with the cut ,thankyou."
"Unfortunately the flawed business model of this salon has created an atmosphere of customers being seen as purely a commodity and not a person. I have been going to this salon long before the current management or staff and have returned even after disaster hair cuts/colours and even had to re wash once home on more than a couple of occasions! And I still returned, because I believe in kindness,understanding and forgiveness…no major harm done, she/he was probably having an off day. Oh how things have changed. Once you’ve navigated yourself through the chaotic, intimidating and unwelcoming reception, through the string of sarcastic, unprofessional remarks (latest colourist is particularly good in this area), endured the dirty lipstick cups (removing a few stray hairs), you find yourself back at the till paying prices that differ from quoted online or over the phone. Pay up and shut up attitude. Most importantly, don’t dare move an appointment or be too unwell on the day to attend! as your punishment will be a ban from booking online with them! Customer service at its best! Oh and be careful handing them your email, as it’s used to contact you for a personal attack (I don’t recall signing up to that? Perhaps it’s in the small print?). Sadly after many years of being with this salon, it seems the change in management, attitude and staff means I will be finding a new hairdresser, whilst no loss to them financially of course, I think they will find their loyal customers are feeling exactly the same. Of course their arrogance and self Importance with the ‘Hob’ signage above the door, will leave them ignorant to this fact."
"I had a really disappointing appointment and despite having had pre consultations etc came out with hair looking nothing like what I’d asked for. I have coloured my hair for 20+ years and have never gone back to a salon for a correction but this time it was so bad I did. This was where the real problems started. Immediately the staff were defensive and rude. I felt intimidated and was shouted at in the middle of a full salon. When I became upset I was asked to leave. Ultimately it’s a bunch of hairdressers who did a bad job, no one deserves to be treated as I was especially when it was them who had done a poor job."
"Have been looking for a new hairdresser (who can cut curly hair) since after lockdown and at last I've found one that I want to go back to again! Tamara has 13 years of working within the hob group and it shows. She listened to what I was hoping to achieve and together we've come up with a plan to get short layered hair into a curly bob. Great experience! Thank you Tamara."
"I went there twice for hair cut. First i was not happy with the hair cut even it was with the director. And they charged me for blow dry without asking me to do it. I m living really close and im washing my hair after hair cut so i dont need that at all. On second occasion, i book with senior and i was much more happier with hair cut. however i specifically said to receptionist that i only want hair cut and i dont need blow dry. after hair cut she started to do blow dry and charged me extra £20 for something i didnt even use."
