"I’ve been coming to Essence for ten years now and I’ve had many different treatments: from laser, electrolysis, to eyebrows and lashes. I always leave feeling very satisfied, relaxed and happy. Essence have very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and always provide a wide range of great treatments. The clinic is also always very clean. They’re always able to recommend me good and up-to-date products if I have any concerns with my skin. They genuinely care about their clients. "Issue below was later resolved and hopefully they will post their prices so no one else has to go through this. Use caution when visiting this business. They over charge (as no price list avaliable) and when you find out they tell you it is old prices. Below is the detail on my experience. I had a full treatment with them and it was fine then I took a break just before COVID and went back last month for more sessions. I was told that the prices have increased ( from £90 to £180 - I was doing full leg instead of half leg this time but you don't expect a half leg to cost £90) but I was too shy to question it and as I had made the very long journey (1+ hour drive) to go to this specific place I had been in the past. But after I thought about and the 100% increase seemed ridiculous even in COVID times. So I had asked my mum to call and ask for the price of the exact treatment I had (They do not have a pricing list anymore, you have to ask) and she was told £130 ( I paid £180) when she questioned them on this they said they will call her back. To which they texted that what they had quoted her was the old pricing and it was £180. Later that same day my aunt went into the Essence clinc and also asked the cost of the exact same treatment I got and again they quoted £130. So we called back and they offered to take the £50 overcharge off if I booked 10 sessions in advance and pay over £700. I however do not need that many sessions and frankly I do not trust them anymore to continue my treatment. All I want now is the amount they overcharged back. I'm truly upset as I was a loyal customer that travelled a long way each time to get my treatment done there."

"The owner of this business is very unprofessional. I booked the same laser removal treatment as someone i know and they tried to charge me more money. When I told the receptionist about this she told me it wouldn't be a problem and the price would be deducted for my next treatment. The owner is very stingy and has a habit of increasing the price without notice. And so you only find out that she decided to increase the price for the same treatment just after the session has ended. I have spoken to her about this and cancelled my treatment plan. She has now lost a customer and my respect for the business. This is my first bad review for a small business which I always try to support. However this establishment has left me very disappointed. If you are thinking of choosing this place than be prepared to lose your money without notice. The only positive thing about this place is the reception staff ..."
