"I went to the salon a couple of months back and forgot to leave a review. Hairdresser was late, my flexi rods set looked flaky and wasn't finished properly. I think they need a better customer service. Otherwise the owner was sweet."
"EbonyB Hair Salon is honestly the best I've ever been to! It's been really hard to find a trusted hair salon in London that specialises in natural hair care. This was my first visit and I had a wash, treatment, blow dry, silk press and trim. Zuwena was amazing, from consultation, to talking through each step of the process and ensuring I was comfortable. The whole experience was informative and very relaxing. Zuwena was so warm and friendly, took great care of my hair and was very gentle. I could have fallen asleep whilst my hair was being washed and treated lol. My hair hasn't felt this soft, moisturised and silky in a long time, so I'll definitely be back for maintenence. I also appreciated the tips for a better hair routine. 10/10 for service and experience. Thank you! :)"
"I I have been searching for a good hair stylist who diligently understands afro-kinky natural hair, and I find such management and service today at Ebonyb. I got my hair confidence restored in Zuwena's s hands. She patiently and passionately catered for what my Kinky 4c hair needed. She wasn't aggressive or looked down at my hair as a challenge; now, I found a proper hairstylist in London who doesn't leave your hair fuzzy or oily upon arriving home. You know that feeling of 'I could have done this myself once home as she provided advice on after-service hair care management, which was great. Thank you, Zuwena, for a blessed, stress-free experience. I have a fabulus and satisfying day. Highly recommend it. Your service was worth it!! My service included a wash, proteins treatment, blow-dry, sleek hair straightening, and trim."
"This was my first time attending the salon. I had a treatment, trim and wig cornrows. I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service and how well my hair was done. I’ve never felt so comfortable and welcomed at a salon. I’ll definitely be back."
"My hair was washed and blowed dried by Talisha @elitehairlounge (the only person I trust in the British Isles to handle my hair wet) on Thursday and made my way down to Ebony B Salon on Saturday. Initial Thoughts... My appointment was at 1.30pm but my hair wasn't started until 2.30pm as the stylist was with another client. My stylist Jamillah was very approachable, easy to communicate with and handled my hair with care. The braid pattern wasn't exactly what I asked for but I was very pleased with the final outcome. Style: Lemomade Braids - 15 Braids Braiding Duration: 3 hours Cost: £85 and I had to provide my own hair. The salon wasn't pristine and had a more family and not professional vibe. One of the stylists had her daughter with her at work. Her daughter was very charismatic and played with the wigs displayed on the salon window and if memory serves correct she gave an impromptu catwalk across the salon floor as well as a mock YouTube tutorial. I personally was entertained but I did think some would find it unprofessional. Also my stylist ate Cheetos while braiding my hair and on one occasion some kanekalon braiding hair fell on the floor and she picked it up and braided it to my scalp (I said nothing but I wasn't happy about that). My thoughts one week later... This was my first time getting Lemomade Braids and it will probably be the last because the "Lemonade Side" gets frizzy quickly and doesn't fall flat so I had to tie my hair in a side ponytail. Also it's hard to move the hair off my face when it's time to take a shower, now I understand why some stylists do a row of single plaits underneath. My braids felt tight so I decided to remove them as I don't want to "lose my edges" as I have a fear of traction alopecia. Final thoughts... I don't think I will return to the salon as I think £85 for 15 braids is overpriced. The fact that the salon didn't provide the kanekalon hair disappointed me because I had to wait for the hair to be prepared (brushed and sectioned) and I felt this could have been done ahead of time to cut down on the appointment time. I would like to find one salon where I can wash, blow dry and braid my hair without experiencing mechanical damage to my fine 4b strands or my scalp. Based on this visit, I don't believe that this salon fits the bill for me; I watched the other stylist wash, blow dry and flat iron another client's hair and yes the final result looked good but I wasn't happy with the detangling methods used. My quest for a professional natural hair specialist continues..."
