"An absolute joke of a company. Has misadviced us and cost us so much money. They called and apologised to us but than they send us a final letter trying to wash their hands from it. Now pretending they are mental health workers as well. A responsible lender who does not tell a costumer that he has 4 months grace period and cause me hundreds and than try to offer 100£ comps and basically tell me to f off. We will be posting this to a lot of our social media accounts. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. VOID. THEY WILL USE YOU AND WHEN YOU GET TO OUR PLACE YOU WILL BE ALL ALONE. we will be taking them to court soon"
"Horrendous customer service. No one has a clue what's going on. Spent hours wasted calling and chasing trying to sort settlement fee for 3 different advisors to tell me 3 different amounts and accuse me of cancelling a direct debit which they didn't set up. AVOID"
"Very suspicious outfit. Somehow, they have got hold of non-performing Princes Trust loans and are sharking them. Advise caution. This appears to be some sort of predatory company that profits from sharking debt rather than funding new startups."
"As a sole trader suffering a 70% loss in profits due to the pandemic, I felt incredibly let down when my bank announced they wouldn't be offering the Bounce Back Loan Scheme. I had been scraping by on the bare minimum with many sleepless nights. In February I discovered Growth Company Business Finance and was delighted to see Greater Manchester looking out for its people. I applied but thought it was too good to be true. Imagine my delight when 20 days later I got approved. This isn't a company where you send a bank statement and get money sent to your bank the next day - GCBF really do their homework on you with lots of anti-fraud checks, which I didn't mind and was impressed by. I went through an in-depth interview process and had to prove a lot of things that cannot be faked. No more sleepless nights - I can't wait to invest in more of my best-sellers and get the ball rolling with my business again. Thank you Andy Burnham, and a special thank you to Andrew N. at GCBF, and the rest of the team for being so efficient processing my application."
"Please, be careful when using this company. They have recently been given a £10m government guarantee for the bounce back loans, offering solely to Manchester businesses. My business, based in Carrington, Greater Manchester, having a turnover of +£900k, 14 staff (mixed employed & contracted) and clients who have paid large deposits pre Covid, has been rejected and the reasoning remains unknown. Unknown to the company, I am amongst a group chat consisting of several other businesses. I know of other businesses who have since had their applications progressed, all white British owned businesses, who are yet to even submit accounts. Furthermore, and the real devastation, they asked me several times for multiple copies of my identification, of which I obliged. They rejected my business initially, before asking for proof of trading. I since sent them bank statements, confirming money in (& money out!), sales contracts, my tenancy agreement & as much as photographs of myself & my team at various team socials. They requested this as proof that we are trading so the decline could be overturned - again, this did not materialise despite providing more evidence than they had originally asked for. MP Andy Burnham appears to have a huge influence on said company and who they are lending too, and has since gone quiet despite claiming the accolades for getting this company approved to offering Bounce Back Loans. When prompted for a copy of their GDPR guidance, their TCF policy, Complains Policy & how they handle my data, as I sent them various secure bits of data, they have continuously ignored me. They called me on a withheld number & did not complete any DPA with me, which is completely against the FCA outbound call guidelines. I was then asked by a Jala Daly for multiple copies of my identification, again, with no idea what has since been done with this as they have not informed me how they will use my data, this is once again a breach this time with the GDPR data act. A strong warning against using this company."
