Tesco Express

"As a new student in Birmingham, ive had the "privilege" of visiting pretty much every Tesco express in the City centre, theres 3 different stores on one stretch of road within a 3-5 minute walk of eachother, and i have to say, this is by far the worst branch in the City Centre for a number of reasons. 1: The staff pay absolutely no attention whatsoever, id even go as far to say that customers may as well be invisible, and when they aren't ignoring your existence, the tone they speak in makes you feel like you're just an inconvenience in their day. 2: The Security is the opposite of the staff, but not in a good way, every time you walk in you are immediately met with daggers and death glares, you could walk in covered in blood with a machete and get the same reaction you get every other time, they follow you around as if you have stolen a bag of shopping just for walking through the door. 3: (This one is a personal pet peeve) As i stated before, i am a Uni student, i am 20 years old, 6ft5, with a full beard and tattoos, but no matter what age you are, if you want Cigarettes or Alcohol, take ID with you because you will be asked no matter what. Not a huge issue but its a massive inconvenience when you aren't one of those people who carries ID just to nip to the shops. (My friends and I have visited this store on multiple occasions and all had the same experience every single time so this isnt a one time ordeal)"

"A very impolite security guard banned the shop even though it was 10:53 PM and the shop closes at 11:00 PM. I only needed one thing. Tesco should be selected by better Staff. I am very disappointed and advise against buying from this store."

"To be fair this Tesco's isn't too bad they tend to have some good deals on food, often have a huge reduced section and decent offers."
