"We used to be loyal Lidl (Erdington Tyburn Road) fans. We liked Aldi but College road branch was not near enough for regular visits. Then this Chester road store opened up. We have largely dropped Lidl mainly because of the poor shopping experience at Erdington store. Long queues at the checkouts because they only open a few or one at a time. The opposite is true of this Aldi.. they will often open up an extra one or two checkouts if there seems to be a queue forming. They are proactive. I don't like the non food sections as they seem less organised than (hate to say it) Lidl. BUT it is a small price to pay for a much better shopping experience. one last thing: you can read your shopping receipt! What is happening with Lidl? Blue receipt paper and poor printing to boot.. an old feller at Lidl asked me to try to read his receipt for him.. I couldn't) Good experience and prices at Aldi."

"EXTREMELY RUDE cashier. We usually go to the Great Barr store, where the staff are lovely, but this one was convenient on the day. It was towards the end of the day and as we met with the cashier, I said to her "Hiii how are you?" - to which I got no response. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought she may not have heard me, so I carried on packing with a smile. Once everything was scanned and paid for, she hardly even looked at me and said "Do you want a receipt" to which I replied with a smile again "Yes please" and again she just ripped the receipt from the till and passed it to me without even looking my way. I still said 'Thank you' as I walked away but it looked like she couldn't have cared less. My husband even asked why I was being so nice to her after her being so blatantly rude. Absolutely the worst experience I've had with an Aldi staff member. Don't think I'll return to this store ever again. Can see from other reviews that I'm clearly not the only one with this experience. Not good enough."

"Aldi shopping mall located in Chester road Castle valley , all type of fresh veggies, fruits and groceries are available at moderate prices , offers when we buy additional quantities. Very gud space for car parking"
