"My car broke down at Heathrow because a persistent fault that other garages failed to fix became terminal. The RAC came out to it and said they'd take it to an RAC approved garage for repair. This set the alarm bells ringing because I thought it might be a cosy relationship between an RAC man and a garage, bringing in desperate people whose cars broke down around the airport a long way from home. I was alarmed at Mercury's labour charges, £145/h. Garages in the Reading area charged £56/h. HOWEVER, the Reading area garages fixes for this problem didn't last and I had to go back several times. Mercury fixed the problem FIRST TIME and permanently on 16/4/21 and I've spent nothing more on the car, other than routine expenses such as tyres and insurance since. I have since enjoyed 27,948 trouble-free miles in a 167,000 mile, 16-year-old Renault that has driven like new after Mercury's attention. They know how to charge, but in the long run they must be cheaper than the cheaper garages! Only the high labour charges prevent a 5* review off me, but as I say, high charges from a garage who get it right are better than lower charges paid several time to clueless garages!"

"Second time I have used Mercury cars and once again they blew me away with their speedy attention and excellent customer service. My daughter is a relatively new driver having passed earlier this year. Her car had some brake issues and they managed to fit the car in and have it in full working order within 24 hours. I live 50 Miles away from the garage but Is always worth the journey. Great service and staff have amazing attitude. Thank you to Mercury and the guys that got my daughter back on the road. TOP team.
