"I ended up going to the Peel hospital in the late afternoon on the 7th of January 2023 due to shoulder and neck ache with raised blood pressure. My blood pressure reached 213 after the nurse took a reading. I was given an ECG too and my heart rhythm and electrical activity was normal. The receptionists are very polite and helpful. The nurse who treated me was exceptional in how she treated me with empathy and care. An absolutely amazing experience and a credit to their profession. Thank you!"
"Twice in a space of a week ,2 family members went to Robert Peel and told nothing wrong with them.only to go straight to Goodhope and find 1 has 2 fractures and the other a severe infection."
"Had a endoscopy and the staff were absolutely amazing. Made my experience so much easier. Many thanks to all the lovely staff in the gastrology dept and Robert peel who also cover Queens in burton. X"
"Attended today with an infected cat bite. The staff are all so friendly. As I waited, I watched nurses' and reception staffs interaction with several patients and they were so lovely and helpful. The nurse that attended me couldn't have been more thorough and explained the treatment I'd be receiving, and gave advice should the infection worsen. Such a kind lady. We should value our NHS because we're lucky to have such caring people there for us in our time of need. Sir Robert Peel Medical Unit staff are a credit to themselves and their profession."
"Awful experience. More questions by reception and nursing staff about my ‘ethnicity’ and ‘gender’ than time spent diagnosing. Nurse failed to diagnose an abscess resulting in an A&E trip 24 hours later, advising to take paracetamol. Can’t see the point in such a unit if they don’t provide any level of care or service."
