"Speaking as an outpatient only doctors were good but admin stuff at the desk made me feel bad as it’s a bank or a supermarket attitude. Beautiful fashion ladies working with vulnerable people which are mostly poor after highly priced health appointments. Like robots. training needs for those businesses ladies how to show patience, empathy and understanding, speak slower and explain things with respect to patients."

"I had my tonsils removed at The Montefiore Hospital last week. All of a sudden, I couldn’t drink water or swallow anything. I believed my throat was infected as there were signs of infection. I called the hospital multiple times and explained how much the pain had increased and I was scared. They basically said your just going to have to deal with it there’s nothing you can do, it’s a painful recovery all of this is normal. While picking my prescription up I asked the pharmacist to have a look and she also said it’s infected. Eventually it got so bad that I was admitted to royal sussex where I spent the night hooked up to multiple drips. I’m shocked that I wasn’t even given a follow up appointment after this surgery and I am also shocked at the way I was treated. No one was willing to even look at my throat to tell me if it was infected. On top of this, my consultant just before surgery, tried to talk me out of the procedure and made me feel so scared and anxious I was left in tears…for this and many other reasons I found him very unprofessional . A lovely nurse was kind enough to talk me down and reassure me I would be okay. All in all, a horrible experience and I feel really let down by the staff here almost as if they just don’t care."
"I scheduled an appointment for an specialist. I was on my way to the hospital when someone canceled my appointment 30 minutes before. Without any explanation. I was told someone would contact me to reschedule the appointment. Instead of that, I received an sms with a link confirming a new date and time without checking if that was convenient for me. I tried to change the new appointment through the link. No reply or phone call. I called the hospital asking for help. I left my details. No replied to my message. Instead of that, I received a direct email from the specialist. My appointment would be conducted by another clinic. As the new agreement would potentially make me pay for that appointment instead of using my insurance, I called Montefiore and asked for a specialist in that subject. The same recommendation was made to me again. My issue was that I would like to organise something through the hospital, so I explained that. The person told me she cannot see my booking (obviously, it was with another clinic with I was trying to explain her). She told me that she could not help me because it was not her job to do that. All the conversation was performed using the speaker, so the communication was poor and full of misunderstandings, telling me to stop speaking and leaving her to talk without finishing my explanation. For that reason, I will be looking for another place / specialist. The topic we are discussing is health, and I think it is very sensitive. I can understand that a private hospital is also a business, but their clients are also patients and as I said, that is a sensitive subject to be treat in that way."

And another huge Thank You to the amazing Imaging team in Diagnostics along with Dr David Yu in Radiology. From start to finish, and everything in between… I was treated with great care and excellence. I’d rather not need any treatment at all, but I am so grateful to have received such amazing care from the most exemplary care professionals any human could hope to access.
