"Went there for the queens jubilee gala celebrations today and thought it was an absolute joke. Massive queues for the bar that resembled Manchester Airport security in 2022 which were at least 40 minutes long to get a beer (wouldn’t mind but they stated “please do not bring your own booze as it would help us make as much money as possible”) At 2:30pm someone arrived with crates of lager and John smiths which they sold at £2 a bottle. Why didn’t someone come up with this idea before in the committee meeting after committee meeting in run up to the event? Why not have a beer tent in the garden? There was no food apart from cakes and Haribo. Unless you wanted to spend 40 minutes queuing them another 30 minutes waiting for it to be ready to eat. My partner said why don’t we have a look on the inside and see if we could book our baby shower here, looked like a dump from the outside looking in but thought I would give it the benefit of doubt. Went to use the toilets and had a look at the inside and thought it was a cross between the Jockey from Shameless and Eden Camp mess hall from WW2. Can’t believe people pay to be member here. There was an amazing opportunity today to make some serious money with fast food trucks and beer tents but 20% of people left after the Hurricane fly by."
