"My partner and I drink in here 3/4 times a month, love the place. Today we went in for our first roast at the Abbey Arms, wasn't cheap at £17 each. So disappointing... 3 boiled barely cooked 'roast potatoes' , cabbage all over all the food, barely cooked carrots, burnt Yorkshire, gravy was really runny and had tons of grease/oil in it and a lovely bit of pork that they give you a butter knife to eat it with which is a chore, even when I asked for a sharper one they just said 'no, sorry'. Still like the place but I won't be buying a roast there again, stick to their pizzas."
"Was very quiet when we went and unfortunately the vast majority of the menu was unavailable, but the pizza was delicious and the pub looks absolutely gorgeous, interested in going back during a busier time, and maybe trying out their outdoor movie showings, or pub quiz"
"Went there for an impromptu Sunday lunch. I'd been to another Sourdough Saloon and held out high hopes. We ordered 3 vegetarian and 1 vegan roasts. They came out promptly and each one was cold so we sent it back. My partner presented the plates and their excuses were "they were hot a minute ago." They also forgot the Yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese. The staff had initially forgotten that the vegetarian roasts had them. See attached the "forgotten Yorkshire's" and enough mustard for "one." On its return, it was clearly just microwaved. On taking a try it was sad, floury, mushy with no flavour. The cauliflower cheese was cold but mush. On asking for a refund, the staff member said that the excuse was that they don't often do roasts. The member of staff clearly was not pleased, aggrieved, irritable and frustrated. I appreciate that I don't work in hospitality but common courtesy and self reflection goes a mile. I'm saddened by the food but more so by the attitude of the staff member. I do appreciate it's not their fault but be apologetic, reflective and dignified. Passive aggression does not make for a good server (or good dining experience!)"
"Great pub! Now accessible via the Elizabeth line. Right next to the station. I hope they light that fire pit, might pop back in the autumn to see. Staff were lovely, offered suggestions for our next leg of our journey. Family friendly."
"Liked this pub. Very typical London local, with a good Community feel and something on every night. Range of beers for all tastes and Pizza (including "The Geezer" - salt beef & gerkin - which was lovely). Right next to newly opened Elizabeth Line station - this pub and area will change dramatically in next five years. Visit while you can."
