"As far as spoon pubs go this is the best one I have been in. Come here a few times in the last week and I have not had to get out my spoon sanitising wipes to clean the tables. Most spoon pubs I have to wipe the tables from the sticky mess that is left even after staff have cleared the table of glasses and plates. Today a member of staff saw that I had just sat down and came over to wipe my table, if only other spoons did this. Excellent staff and very accommodating, not like some where asking them a thing like "please clean my table" is taken as an insult and greeted with disdain. The manager nod this pub should be congratulated and looked upon as a mentor for other less capable managers who see it as their duty to befriend their staff and not give any consideration to the paying punters. I have heard this pub is closing so I hope they retain the staff as they know how to operate a pub. Thanks to all the staff at The Toll Gate."
