"What a good visit, nice helpful barman went the extra mile for me fetching an ale from the cellar so that I could try. Duo of keyboard and a double bass entertaining on a Saturday afternoon I would visit again ."
"26 /1/2023 afternoon Bar staff Chinese girl behind bar who was on phone most of the time no it was quiet seemed stuck up better then everyone else's attitude and and not very friendly to customers when serving drinks the thing is I've been to all the other pubs the owner has in the local area and the staff are good there I'm a local and have drank in the crown for years since 2016 so it's a shame it's dropped with it hospitality we are paying customers hospitality go's a long way when serving drinks a smile would help .don't think I'll be going back"
"Lovely cosy pub with some interesting gins and comfy armchairs. It was pretty dead when I visited on a Monday evening but suspect it gets busier later in the week. I hear they put on good music nights too."
"Huge meal! A lovely roast chicken served with all the right veggies. It's on the corner of Church Street and The High Street with a car park round the corner. Large, modern with comfy vintage furnishings. My mum reminisced how parts of it used to be a building merchants she patronised in the 80s. Good, pleasant service, we were checked on about 3-4 times."
"Nice spacious pub with a cosy atmosphere. Had nice interactions with the staff. The veggie roast dinner was really nice - especially the nut roast - but felt a bit overpriced for the portion size and quality. Even so I would still recommend!"
