"We arrived for our table on time at 4:30pm ready for our roast. sat down with drinks waited for someone to come over to take our order. 30 minutes later we went over to ask someone as it had been a while; who said they’d be over shortly. Another 15 minutes had past and we had to go over to the bar again to ask , we then got told that they were waiting for the kitchen staff. We had a table booked for a roast at 4:30pm if the kitchen staff were scheduled a break at this time we should have been told ! Eventually at 5:30pm someone took our order. We then had a long 45 minutes for our food to arrive, so a total of almost 2 hours wait to eat, this was simply not acceptable. It’s a pity as the food was incredibly tasty, so props to the kitchen staff, if only we hadn’t had to wait for hours my review would have been 5 stars"

"Top marks for the Bishop. We come quite often on a walk about the area. The staff are friendly and prices reasonable for the area. I believe it’s a MPCo pub so food is consistent and good. Have not had a roast but they look great. Would recommend as our most visited pub on the lane."
