Reviews of The Monument
"The Monument pub is situated right next to the London Monument and so is in a good location. It is normally not too busy and I tend to get a table when I visit, unless of course the world cup is being shown. It's quite large inside and they have a good selection of beers. You can stand outside the pub and drink, but in the evenings, you won't be in the sun. They also serve good food too."
"Lovely pub and atmosphere, popped in for lunch whilst on a walk round. Usual Greene King menu, food was tasty, staff were very friendly. Blue light card accepted."
"Ordered a steak toastie, it wasn’t even steak that came! Nasty dry pieces of beef and not very much. I work for greene king and if I served this I’d be very embarrassed. Staff behind the bar seemed very disinterested and lacked curtesy of just being nice."
"Blandest scampi and chips I've ever had. Every item on my plate tasted like it's come straight out of Asda's frozen food section. Mediocre even for pub food standards."
"Not sure this place is usually open on a Sunday - but had opened for the football. Great Sunday roast and dessert. Staff extremely helpful."
