"Similarly to other reviews, my husbands work van was completely undervalued by the insurance company when it was written off. Even after negotiating an extra £1000 on their initial valuation it was still no where near what was actually available on the market place for the same vehicle, condition, milage ect.. We contacted Tim at motorclaimguru with our situation and he was confident that we had a case and we were confident that Tim would be able to get a better settlement. He was absolutely brilliant. You'll see from his initial contact with your insurer that he really knows the industry, laws and he is also a fierce negotiator. In our case Tim got us an extra £3000 within a week! Time was really important to us and we were so happy to get it sorted so quickly. If you think you've got a case and you're getting nowhere with your insurer, don't hesitate to contact Tim. He will tell you straight up if he can help and along with his expertise he is actually a super nice guy should you ever get the chance to speak to him. Thank you Tim and motorclaimguru."
"Grateful to have received helped from Tim on my non-fault claim. I opted for the first stage of Tim’s service which is to value the cars, but due to the cars age, there was some difficulties with some of the valuation guides to which he promptly refunded myself the full amount. Despite this, Tim has continued to provide useful information in regards to the on-going claim. I hope my current case settles soon but if not, I will not hesitate to use Tim’s service going forward."
"Mine is the red EG Autokraft V12 Spyder, a Ferrari Daytona replica that is the subject of Tim’s posting on 23/12/22. It was the work of 30 years of love and labour and had been finished to a high standard of authenticity and performance capability. All who saw it praised it. In July 21 it was involved in a head on collision with a vehicle turning out of a side road without the driver first looking. It became quickly clear that KGM Underwriters and their claims service company AAC Online were not interested in truth or fairness and neither are they “specialist vehicle experts”. Their expertise is in stonewalling the insured until the insured caves in. In my entire dealings with them they refused to discuss, explain, justify, accept or even listen. I was a naive first time insurance claimant. They didn’t find Tim Kelly such an easy walkover though. Under his guidance I made them return my car at their expense to my possession (most important) as the first step in making repair possible and preventing write off. Thereafter he pointed them in the direction of their own rules, regulations and laws forcing them to honour their insurance contract with me. He forced them to disclose the report from their accident assessor which demonstrated him to be either incompetent or dishonest but in fact both. He stated that damage to the rear wing and paintwork was “pre-existing condition” despite being told by the repairer to the contrary. KGM ignored my statements and photographic evidence also in proof to the contrary. He distorted the repair procedure agreed by me with the repairer to falsely justify deduction of £15000 from the valuation. He even incorrectly added £9802 VAT to the costs schedule that I had drawn up with the repairer where VAT where applicable had been allowed for and stated on the schedule. Thus in one easy move he had reduced both the valuation and the cost of repair. KGM’s “diligent and careful consideration” of my complaint failed to spot even this giveaway and in their reply even quoted the incorrect VAT inclusive figure back to me as evidence of uneconomic repair cost. The photos required from me at the inception of the policy which they had on file were also ignored. The photo attached is one of them that shows all that "pre-existing damage” to the rear left wing. KGM’s complaint service does not know a complaint when it sees one. Fortunately the Ombudsman was not so easily led and as Tim has stated the decision was great news coming just before Christmas. It was also unequivocal in coming down in my favour, accepting their assessor’s report as unreliable and chastising KGM for trying on their version of market value. It awarded me my valuation of £60000 plus valuer fees and a small amount of compensation, all payments plus 8% interest. That means that Tim has achieved an increase in payout of £40000. Ironically that is exactly the figure I had mentally decided was my bottom line before I had started to research car sales. So by their intransigence KGM have ended up paying £20k more. And I have learned that insurance companies are not to be trusted. Unfortunately the mental stress of trying to deal with an organisation that refuses to conduct itself in accordance with normal business values and the financial risk I was getting myself into forced me to abandon hope of repair and I surrendered the car in March 22 for an interim payout. That may have eased the stress but it did not ease the sense of loss. The whole sorry saga took nearly a year and a half to be resolved and through the bloodymindedness of KGM Underwriters an important, beautiful, historic hand built replica of an iconic Ferrari has been lost. But Tim Kelly is the man. A great asset to have when dealing with an insurance company. He is a strategic thinker, knowledgeable and tenacious and not to be messed with. He says he does it for the fun of it. It’s not my idea of fun but be grateful that he exists and is willing to help you for scant reward. My rating - 6 out 5, if that were possible."
"£9000 increase! And additional interest. I'd been trying to fight my insurers with my claim for months. The stress and weight of it all was starting to take its toll until I got in touch with Tim. He took the case on, and the stress off of me. He's down to earth and knows his s**t. I'm so grateful for your services Tim, and that there is someone out there on our side. My only regret is that I didn't use your services earlier in the process. Thanks for everything. If I'm ever in the position to need your help again, I won't hesitate to get in touch and I'd recommend you to anyone in need!"
"Tim is very knowledgeable about car insurance domain and quick to give his honest opinion if he can help. If you're like me and feel you might need assistance with your car insurance claim, don't hesitate to contact Tim and quickly get his take on the matter."
