"This review is solely about the Christmas dinner. I genuinely think it was one of the poorest and unfairly priced Christmas dinners I have ever had. I had the soup to start, which was pretty nice to be fair to them, but for the main I had the nut roast Christmas meal. The nut roast was basically mush, it came with 1 parsnip, 3 Brussel sprouts, about have a normal potato, a spoonful of swede, a spoonful of cabbage and a drizzle of gravy. For a £38 meal it was an incredibly small amount of food and didn't taste particularly nice. I've had delicious Sunday roasts elsewhere for far less that have had at the very least carrots, some cauliflower cheese, some Yorkshire puddings etc. Dessert was fine, it was chocolate brownie but there wasn't much there, but tasted alright. Overall was really disappointed by what I was given for the price, it seems completely unjust. Which is a shame because the staff were very friendly and the drinks side of things was absolutely fine! Overall if you are looking for a Christmas meal, I would avoid."

"Atmosphere is awesome, but the food is bland. Not worth the price you pay for your food. We had the pork and beef roast, both our Yorkshire puddings was burnt the gravy was watery and the cauliflower we had had no taste as it is frozen and had water at the bottom. Won't be back."

"The Grove, one of Balham's little secrets, is a brilliant place to chill with beer in hand. A beautiful pub tucked away on Oldridge road. Super staff, a delightful building and great beer. All you can hope for! Very comfy sofas too!"

"Recently had lunch here and it's just the same as it was when I lived in the area some 15 years ago, which is to say it's great! Such a lovely pub off the main road. Great food and beer selection, convenient parking in front of the pub towards Balham (metered) or behind (possibly free if you can find a space)."
