"Good pub on Forest Hill Road. Classic building retaining Truman's exterior detail and decoration. Previously known as the Forest Hill Tavern. Disappointingly, the pub usually has only one cask beer on handpump these days (there used to be 3 or 4). Very large garden most of it covered by a canopy."
"Great Pub - Went for Sunday roast but as we arrived at 4:30 they were all gone which is totally understandable as it was late in the day. Had lots of other great options. Would advise anyone wanting a Sunday Roast to probably book for lunchtime slot and not evening. Great pub, great staff & great food"
"They have big spaces indoor and outdoor, however someone of staff weren’t friendly,Sunday roast was a bit disappointing. With that price they could have done slight better ,mixed nuts roast was soggy, tey have good selection of beers and drink ."
"An absolute triumph of a pub, it manages to excellently straddle gastropub, tap room and quirky traffic light pub with a massive garden. The roasts are so good you often turn up to find they've all sold out so it's worth getting there early if you're a roast dinner type. The range of keg ales is exceptional, they even have a local mead in tap! You can also grab yourself a pack of Coleman's Mustard pork scratchings, which are as ludicrously tasting as they sound."
"We called on a very quiet Sunday evening and it was fine! It's a big barn of a place so we rattled about! The staff were sweet and friendly, choices were many. We didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food."
