"Somewhat rustic but charming pub in the heart of Hampstead. Also known for being the scene of 1955 shooting where Ruth Ellis killed her lover and later on became known as the last woman executed in Great Britain. If that doesn’t scare you off you should visit for an independent pint and some tasty pub food… after strolling through the Heath."
"Very close to Hampstead heath. I went for the rib eye steak with bone marrow butter. Perfectly cooked tender steak with think cut fries. We also had the chicken schnitzel. Service was quick and friendly. Perfect way to start or end a walk In hamsters heath."
"We came for Sunday roast and were not disappointed! I had the veg Wellington with spinach, feta and mushroom which was tasty - they might be able to do this vegan too if you ask. The rest of the table had lamb and beef and enjoyed it. Good gravy and Yorkshire puds but we were not served the red cabbage even though we arrived early - which is a shame. Top marks on the macaroni and cheese as well, as often a lot of pubs get this wrong. The pub gets very rammed on Sunday so definitely worth booking!"
"Wonderful food - menu is small but lovely, filled with British food with a modern twist. Excellent wine list as well, with good selection and honest prices. Absolutely adored the friendly staff and nice decor. I look forward to go again to try more plates once the weather warms up again."
