The Havelock Tavern

"The Havelock Tavern on Irving Road, nestled between Brook Green (Hammersmith) and Shepherd's Bush. A mighty fine Inn I may say! Bedecked with brilliant blue tiles on the outside and a stripped shabby chic interior. Fine beers on keg and in the cask TTs Landlord being changed on my visit but still a couple of good session ales available. A pint of cold Spanish lager for me, went down well. A most pleasant, jolly place with great atmosphere. I suspect a lot of work has been done to make this feel like your own home. Loving. A most enjoyable visit, highly recommended."

"Beautiful tavern with great food and many drink options! The staff is very nice and attentive and the food was tasty and was quickly served. Unfortunately there are not many vegetarian choices but the starters and side dishes are generously portioned. Definitely recommend!"

"Lovely neighborhood pub in shepherds Bush. Excellent Sunday roasts. Choice of beef, chicken, pork belly and vegan Wellington. They also serve burgers and other choices on Sunday for those who do not wish to have a Sunday roast. Good selection of beers, dogs allowed and staff very friendly. Child friendly as well. Strongly recommend. Book in advance."

"We walked into this gastro pub to find them screening the football so we had to try and eat our meal with chanting and shouting from just behind us. So basically a sports bar??? The portion sizes are quite small and service was extremely slow where we had to wait nearly an hour between our starter and main. Turns out the chef lost our ticket. Although we were sat in a restaurant, I still had to visit the bar to get my drinks No vegetarian choice at all on the menu, but the chef made a pasta dish and we were then charged more for this than our meat dishes which is ridiculous. The battered fish was over cooked and the burgers with chips was so small it was like a child's portion with no side salad or garnish. We asked to speak to the manager who acknowledged our complaint and then handed us a bill for the full price. We then approached him again asking him to rethink to which a amicable price was agreed but still included a £17 service charge. We paid and left as quickly as possible.....never to return UPDATE. manager replied to ask to contact him. To which I did. He has not responded....... clearly only ask me to contact him so it would look good in the review response!"
