"Had a lovely fish and chips here . The chips were amazing and well- presented . I loved the difference sauces served with . My piece of fish felt quite small but I did feel full at the end . The service was excellent - we were looked after and served with a smile . A star off for the toilets which need a bit of TLC ."

"After searching for a location which does Sunday Lunch (all afternoon…) I came across The Bull. They had some late availability at 6pm - perfect. The pictures looked great online, so we gave them a try. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. They had a wide selection of drinks/largers-anything you want. All the waiters were very friendly, (despite it being late in the afternoon and had already - I’m sure - been serving for the best part of 6 hours!) The roast was sensational!!! Beautifully cooked and with a generous portion… (everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if anyone says it wasn’t large enough or ‘not as large as before’ probably needs to reconsider their portion sizes generally….!) It was spot on! The taste was incredible and it was all hot. Couldn’t have received better. The deserts were equally as stunning! Delicious and reasonably priced. All round a fantastic experience!! Will definitely return!"

"Revisiting the Bull in 2022 is a very disappointing experience compared to what it was pre Pandemic. The Sunday roast portion sizes are a fraction of what they were, the children's portion is virtually the same size at less than half the price. Food arrived cold. Worst of all the bull's iconic giant yorkshire puddings are replaced with something I haven't the words to describe (see photos) , worst excuse for YP I've ever had. £19 for a Sunday roast that leaves you still hungry afterwards is not good value. Dessert was nice. This time a more noticeable difference between the child and adult portion. The ice cream was good quality and the brownie had a good texture although a little too sweet for my taste."

"Came in today with a friend to try a roast before she went back to America, food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious for both of us. We were served by Graeme who had so much charisma and suggested the perfect wine to match our meal as well as being very attentive throughout. Can’t wait to come back again- what wonderful staff!"
