Reviews of Chequers Tavern
"Great pub with good pub food including Steak pie, scampi, pork pie. Good range of beers and drinks great bar men. Good buzz hidden just off Jermyn Street. Great oasis."
"Small old fashioned pub near to Piccadilly. Nice staff with a real old boozer feel. Can be a bit cramped when busy but has nice atmosphere. The Christmas decorations were amazing adding to the character of the place. Reasonable prices for Mayfair Piccadilly. Food is also very good. One TV usually showing the racing. Also has outside seating for when weather is nice."
"Really great cosy traditional pub with good beer and drinks selection. Friendly atmosphere, nice happy staff"
"It is a cute little pub hidden in the city. The service was wonderful. I had a really nice roast dinner. The food was delicious. Portion was great."
"Thursday lunchtime and the Sunday Roast is on! Well done. The Chequers in St James's is a great fun experience. The bar staff are lovely efficient and friendly. A great place for a drink and a Sunday lunch, any day of the week. Beer is good and cold. Casks for those that like warmer beer. All good and great to have a Roast on a Thursday! Beef, chicken and pork on offer. Well done to all involved."
