"Such a sweet place, laid back and jolly. The Alice House serves its' own lager, unfiltered and very pleasant. Other kegs on offer, listed on a chalkboard by the bar. The taps are not really for viewing. Lovely service with a smile from the NZ lady behind the bar. All the staff are great. A fine place for a beer. Thank you Alice."

"Very nice bar in Hampstead. We came for brunch and service was very attentive. The ambience is welcoming and its family friendly. Looks like a cool place for drinks too."

"This was a good meal that was marred by poor service. The food was good. Very good, in fact. But that's about where the positive attributes ended. I think the staff is under the impression that the customers are there for their benefit. We were waiting for 20 minutes and no one took our order so we flagged someone down (which wasn't easy). We saw at least three other tables who had to do the same thing even though the restaurant wasn't full and they appeared to have at least five servers. The food arrived quickly (another positive) but then no one visited the table again to see if everything was ok or even to clear our plates and give us the bill. We had to flag someone down to ask for the bill but she never brought it. We finally went up to the counter and asked for the check. I think we would have been there forever if we hadn't gone out of our way to pay. I think what was most disappointing was that no one apologized when it was clear we weren't getting great service. Things happen, especially in the service industry, but when we had to flag someone down to order they could have apologized, explained they were short staffed, thanked us for our patience, etc. But none of that happened - not when we had to ask to place an order and not when we had to ask twice (and go out of our way) to get the check. The food was good but there's no reason to re-visit a place that doesn't seem to want their customers' business. We don't plan to return."

"A very very welcoming place. The staff were very kind and attentive. You can spend a quiet and relaxing evening while enjoying exquisite craft beer. I tasted a Crispy Porc Belly, accompanied by a sauce all'nduia and some very tasty slices of gherkins. The espresso Martini to be savored, after the meal, absolutely. Good, very good wines for final talk!"

"Dropped in here for a couple of drinks on a dry but cold November evening on my way home. Some more hardy customers were still enjoying the lovely seating area out front but I was made very welcome inside. Both staff members that I spoke to were extremely friendly and almost insistent that they brought my drink to my table (without a suggestion of a service charge). Also offering me a bottle of tap water, which I sensibly accepted. The cosy atmosphere was really lovely. Definitely more of a wine/cocktail bar with food, rather than a gastropub, but it suited my purpose perfectly. I didn’t try the food, hopefully next time."
