"Awesome pub! Had the burger, and I thought it was fantastic! Drinks are reasonable prices. The interior drinks section is a bit funny, having unorthodox dividers that you have to crouch down to get through. But it gave it a lot of charm. We went on a Saturday night, and it was a great place to have a conversation. It had a great buzz and life about it, but wasn’t so loud that you had to strain your voice to speak across the table or anything. Will 100% be back!"
"Wonderful roast, unfortunately ran out of the beef but the pork belly and chicken were delicious. The sticky toffee pudding and Apple and Fig crumble were delightful. Great service."
"Visited the Prince Alfred on Sunday as they just opened and was delighted to get a seat at the dining rooms. Pub is old and quirky, staff is friendly and attentive and food is really good"
"Spent a lazy afternoon at this pub that began with one of the best Sunday roasts I've eaten. Everything on my plate was delicious and I'm certain to pop in again when I can. The coffee was also very good. I loved the warm and cozy ambience. The place wasn't noisy, which was wonderful, relaxing, and just great for a nice conversation. The two gentlemen who entertained us and made sure we had everthing we needed were the friendliest and warmest. I can't believe after years of living in the neighbourhood, we only popped in now!"
"Extreme disappointment. Really bad quality of food. Beef was stenchful and tough as rubber. Had to spit out immediately. Vegetables were mixed with weird tasting sauce making me vomit. Burger looked okay, but the patty was so hard. It seemed like patties were all made earlier and you just re heat them? I asked for ‘medium’ for burger patty, but the waiter said they only do medium/well done and customers can’t choose. Also, bun was very hard too. I don’t think this is how you prepare for 17 pounds burger."
