"This pub used to be a very good pub. We have easily left over £3000 at this place. We celebrated our son's first year in February last year, we rent the private room on the first floor. We have brought our friends and also just me and husband on numerous occasions. Always good food, good service and packed with people. But the last two times were really disappointing. Today, for example, we were surprised that many tables were empty on a Friday at 7:30 pm, and yet we waited 40 minutes for our food. I ordered a burguer with the gluten-free bun, my husband a burger without the onions and for my son fish and chips the child's portion. Disastrous. The buns on both burgers were dry, my husband's burger came with onions and mine just came with cheese. The fish and chip peas were so dry that was impossible to think they were fresh. They didn’t charge us for the gluten free burger. But they have lost us as customers anyway."
"Cozy ambiance. Indoor seating was really nice and spacious. The interior was amazing. We were a big group with 3 toddlers and they were able to accommodate and provide us great service. Our server (which we unfortunately were not able to ask her name) was very keen to our needs. She was really lovely and nice. And the food, looks really good on photos and to top it off, were all very delicious. The serving of each of our Sunday Roast orders were insane. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"
"Great place for a family Sunday roast, very accommodating for us and is usually incredibly lively! Staff are a good crack, has been our local for years and doesn’t disappoint. Portions are great, vegan range is pretty good and vegetarians accommodated too. Not sure about GF options but lots of stuff for the kids and a nice outdoor area too :)"
"Perhaps the best Sunday roast I had in 8y living in the UK. I’ve been there with friends and I ordered the Jacob’s ladder to share. The meat was absolutely phenomenal, incredibly tasty and perfectly cooked (12h slow cook). Each vegetable served with meat (roast potato, carrot and butternut squash purée, etc) was flavourful as well as the Yorkshire pudding. The pub is very nice and it’s located just 5 min away from the old market square in Kingston. Friendly staff, reasonable prices"
"Really pleasant environment, beautiful decor. We had different starters, fish, hamburger and falafil for the main course. The food was good but not great. You may want to reserve a table on weekends. It was fairly busy on Friday evening. Good service and friendly staff."
