"Came up this way for work so the husband and I stopped here for lunch. The food was amazing. Loved all the London decorations. Service was great. Staff was friendly. And the First Ladies toilets I have found to be warm in years. Will happily travel back from Portsmouth. Look forward to next time."
"Service was friendly but really slow. It took more than an hour for my table to get three burgers and three pieces of lamb chops. The kitchen had been apparently struggling during the first half hour for a few burgers from the other table. What was everyone doing in the spacious beautiful kitchen? Food was flavorful and spiced, unlike many other pubs. The lamb chops were fully cooked yet still tender. The burgers looked decent."
"I came here after searching locally for highly rated Sunday roast and they did not disappoint!! A very generous plate of beef with roasties, veg, Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese. A gravy boat on the side! Cooked very well! Friendly staff and a warm atmosphere in the restaurant area of the pub. I cannot wait to bring my family here!"
"Their back garden was not as I imagined. We chose to stay inside. What I first ordered was not available. I had chicken caesar salad instead and it was good but very basic. I should have tried their curry. I am not sure if I will go back there again…"
"Went to this restaurant / pub while in the area. It was very busy and packed with little seating due to an event ongoing in part of the building. However food came out in a timely manner and food was to a god standard. There was an issue with part of the meal which was quickly rectified. Staff was very nice and welcoming. If you like curry it is highly recommend due to the chefs cooking it fresh each day and as my family member said best 'curry he's ever had' (he's normally complaining about food so must be good!) Recommend if in the area."
