Reviews of Brickwood Coffee & Bread
"Had a great experience here this afternoon! Came in with my mum and was greeted straight away by staff, really friendly. Atmosphere was really cosy and warm. Good vibes all around and not at all stressy despite it being a bit busy. I had a flat white along with a veggie burrito and it was delicious, enjoyed every bit of it. Coffee tasted great too! Best lunch I’ve had out in a while."
"Pretty nice brunch place with lots of choice for food. Obviously went with the pancakes which were pretty good."
"Their banana bread with espresso cream is delicious. I'd also recommend The Butcher is you are having lunch at Brickwood - quote fulfilling and tasty."
"Great coffee but poor service. Orders are often forgotten and needs reminding. Same with asking for water. Best to get it yourself. Can vary with waiters, but, generally poor. Reason could be that most are students and not professionals. Generally, would recommend to get a takeaway coffee but avoid sitting in. It can be a long wait. Food is good too, especially the vegan options. Services seemed to have improved post-lockdown. The change is definitely for the better! Ruby and Leonie are great and so is T and the new barista. But, some temps are not really dedicated to the job. Some of their bakery addition looks great, like the Lamington (their banana bread and timtam muffins were a great hit with the children anyway). Also the savoury muffins. Their loyalty card app is again not a good one and rated badly by staff as well because it's very tricky to use. And no matter how many hot drinks you buy, the stamps get capped to 2 per day (unlike any other cafe). I hope they keep up the good work for good. I have now rated it as 4 stars- look forward to the 5 (please do change the loyalty card app)."
"A good surprise brunch. Welcoming and helpful staff provided us an escape from the midday sun by pulling out the. A very good twist on traditional English breakfast. Well cooked and perfectly runny eggs, crunchy hash brown nuggets, and nice twist instead of tomato you get this lovely little slightly sweet sauce on a side, all together just pure deliciousness. Chicken salad, refreshing a vibrant. Solid choice for a hot sunny day. Both our brunch options were delightful. Thank you brickwood and see you next time."
