Reviews of Bamford Academy
"I moved my children here from another local school mainly because of their wrap around childcare facilities. I was a little sceptical at first because the actual school building looks like it needs a little tlc, but I soon came to see that was not what is important. My daughter has come on so much since starting there and particularly loves their Spanish lessons that is with a teacher who is from Spain. My son loves the pre school and has grown up so much and gained lots of confidence since starting. They have both made lots of new friends and have settled in very nicely. The peacocks after school club has been amazing. They really take good care of the children and my children feel so comfortable with all the members of staff. So much so that if I pick them up early they tell me off! They serve them loads of freshly prepared hot and cold food for their tea and play lots of games, my daughter loves the bingo. So happy I moved them. Best decision ever."
"My two girls went to Bamford Academy and during the 6 years I have seen them grow in confidence and progress in their learning outcome. The school follows the national curriculumand is strong in Maths and English with guaranteed high grades in Sats tests. Staff are friendly, caring and teachers spare no efforts to support children and parents whenever needed. My girls always been happy and feeling safe there. Children who struggle in learning get the right imeediate support from the SENCo lead. That was great assuring feeling to know my girls are in safe hands. Even OFSTED report highlights the school is good. This school truly does what it says: Ispiring to Achieve! In brief, if I have more children, I will definitely be sending them there."
"Avoid at all costs if you care about your children. This school needs defunding and a complete review before it reopens. Your children will be set back a lot attending Bamford academy."
"One of the worst schools I have encountered, staff bullying and singling out parents that don't conform, numerous safe guarding issues. Class sizes are too large and a if your face fits type of school I could write a good essay about the awful treatment of parents but they seem untouchable countless phone calls to the department of education and the could not intervien as they are an academy A massive drinking culture especially at school events when the children were present, the school ran on the children looking smart and not about their comfort or well being. The children from a less affluent familys were penalised and a clear social class divide was evident. Moving school was by far the best for my child and my mental health. And I'm not the only one, threatening to take parents to court when they were only trying to protect their child from the school."
